Local Makers Market at Ann Marie Gardens

 I just found out about this Makers Market at Ann Marie Gardens this Saturday November 3rd. I am so excited about this and even more to tell you all so you can enjoy it too! This seems like the place to go. I keep saying we need to know where our food is coming from well what better way then right from the person is making it or growing it. Supposedly they have these markets the begging of the month every month but January. On Ann Marie Gardens website they show a list of vendors and also a place to sign up as a vendor. The market offers vendors that are selling handmade, homemade, or homegrown products....crafts, hanging baskets, organic skincare products, farm fresh produce, cut flowers, baked goods, batik and fleece clothing, handmade soaps and candles, herbal teas, ornaments, folk art, handmade gifts, and more! That is a lot and to top it off parking and admission is free! Yay! This market is from 9-12. So make sure you go!

Also there is an organic farmers market at the BAE Systems parking lot in Lexington park, MD. There are two organic local farms so I hope to see you there too. I haven't gone there yet but hopefully prices are cheaper then the average Giant because they don't have to pay for all the overhead that Giant does. If you can't make it don't worry I plan on taking pictures and posting on the farmers market and makers mark.
